About the Tour

Exploring Kanha feels like stepping into a dream. The ancient canopy of tall Sal trees touches the sky and forms a thick cover while the golden rays of early morning sun filters through and creates a magical scape. Witnessing Tigers, Barasingha and many other creatures roam freely in their natural home is a life-changing experience. It was here in Kanha that the Barasingha was brought back from the brink of extinction. The vast meadows are beautiful beyond imagination. Kanha is a spiritual journey into the heart of an old forest. For every nature enthusiast, a trip to Kanha offers an opportunity to connect with the true spirit of the jungle!

Highlights

  • Highly acclaimed for conservation of Hardground Barahsingha – the state animal of Madhya Pradesh
  • Dominated by the enchanting Sal trees and a variety of spectacular landscapes.
  • Home to Baigas, one of the primitive tribes of India, who have lived in these jungles for hundreds  of years
  • Manglu Baiga, a senior member of the Baiga tribe, helped the forest officials in conservation of tigers in more than one ways, and was honoured with Wildlife Service Award in 2004.
